Lesson Computer is a Mauritius-based e-learning platform offering Computer Science classes for Grade 7 to A-Level students. The brand uses paid marketing to generate student enrollments, demo bookings, and course purchases. To scale efficiently, they needed a complete and reliable tracking system to measure both lead generation and recorded course sales.

Project Overview

Before my involvement, Lesson Computer had no structured Meta tracking system. Pixel-only tracking resulted in 40–60% event loss on iOS devices and blocked browsers. GA4 had no eCommerce setup for recorded course checkout flow. High-intent actions such as syllabus downloads, demo requests, WhatsApp inquiries, and course purchases were not tracked accurately.

I implemented a hybrid tracking system combining Meta Pixel + Conversion API + GA4 Enhanced eCommerce to capture all lead and purchase events with maximum accuracy.

Challenges

Strategy

I built a complete tracking ecosystem using GTM Web, GTM Server, Stape.io and GA4 Enhanced eCommerce. Every step of the student's journey—from browsing a course to final purchase—was mapped with accurate browser and server-side tracking.

1. Meta Pixel (Browser-Side)
  • Configured: PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, ViewCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase
  • Integrated course ID, title, value, currency, duration
  • Custom lead events: whatsapp_click, demo_submit, form_submit, cta_click
  • Custom engagement events: scroll_depth, syllabus_download, faq_click
  • Added event_id for deduplication
